Hope4EastDayton
A neighborhood rich in history and stunning landmarks, East Dayton is one of Dayton’s oldest integrated areas in the city. Like many communities, the east end of the city has been in need of community support and leadership collaboration to support their families and youth, providing the perfect opportunity to form Hope4EastDayton (H4ED).
Ralph Rolfe, co-director of H4ED along with Pastor Mike Henry, founded the group in early 2023 to bring together faith leaders, organizations, and community members to support Dayton’s east end. Since its formation, H4ED has been blessed with incredible support and attendance from over 50 people and organizations.
One of the current initiatives of H4ED is to introduce students to the LifeWise Academy, a program that provides Bible education to public school students during school hours with parent permission. Mike is hopeful that they will see significant improvements in participants’ behavior, grades, and morale once the program kicks off.
Along with the LifeWise Academy, H4ED is seeking mentors for the 2024-2025 school year!
