How Do We Build Healthy Communities?

We Find a Champion

Meeting

A champion invites others to join the story of community change.

Champions build connections and bring people together. They unite faith leaders to form a “coalition of churches.” This group then connects with other parts of the community - like faith-based, education, government, healthcare, non-profit, business, sports media & art, and philanthropy when faith-leaders collaborate - and when leaders from other city domains work together, they create what we call a “Hope4Community.”

We Build Each Other Up

A Hope4Community sees what each person and group brings and learns from what’s already working. They set aside differences to support and lift each other up. We call this “building the capacity of others.”

When we build each other’s strength, we create trust, reduce doubts, gain momentum, avoid repeating efforts, and grow unity. Work that lacks resources turns into powerful action. That’s what makes a Hope4Community special: change driven by working together.

We Join Together to Go Together

Educational Gardening

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” A Hope4Community brings leaders and neighbors together to create lasting change.

They work on “joint initiatives,” sharing gifts and strengths to lighten the community’s challenges.

This Is How We Build Healthy Communities

We engage leaders, build capacity, and create joint initiatives to grow healthy communities. Join us in bringing hope to your community! See the Hope4Communities near you, below.
