Youth Mentoring Impact: Hear from one of our mentors

Sometimes the impact of mentoring continues long after a program ends. Read this reflection from our mentor, Stephanie:

“I wanted to share the impact mentoring has had on both of us. My mentee, S, recently started attending church with her dad - and they’ve kept going!

After our mentoring ended due to her moving to a different school district, I truly didn’t think I would see her again. When we reconnected at church, I was overwhelmed with emotion - it felt like such a gift to be back in each other’s lives.

Recently, we attended a service together where she brought a friend, and I had the chance to walk her through parts of the experience that were new to her. She’s open, curious, and eager to learn, which has been so special to witness. I was also able to gift her a teen Bible for Easter.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity and would appreciate prayers as she continues to grow in her faith.”
